Dad vs Monkey

From the time she felt like a little possum in my hand, my little girl always seemed to like monkeys. Everytime she saw a monkey anywhere, she would instantly go 'Monkey!!!' and give me a really endearing look.

You know the kind of look that melts you up and makes you feel life is worth living? That kind. For that reason, I am usually happy if a monkey shows up on TV or if she picks up a monkey toy.

The past few months, she has gone a step further and every time a monkey shows up, she shouts 'Monkey!' comes close , holds my face and then stares at me with her little angel eyes. Awwwww.

The past few weeks, she has been lying on my lap to play and randomly shout 'Monkey!'. Awwww.

Yesterday, she did this again. Then brought a elephant toy, placed it in my lap and pointed at my face and shouted 'Monkey!' She did it again with a Hippo toy. Then she lied down again on my lap, pointed at me and said 'Monkey!'

Yep. She has been looking at me all this time, because she thinks I look like a monkey.
