Peace isn’t as easy as it sounds

So a few things on the whole Delhi and Gurmeher Kaur thingy, in short
1. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion. You do have credibility when you are from an army family. It doesn’t have to weigh in your opinion, but yeah. Admire or ignore and move on. It’s not like you are in the army or vote for a government based on how they work with bilateral ties!
2. Stop pushing your ideas of peace down others’ throats. Especially on the Indian side. It’s easy to blame ‘everyone’. It doesn’t have to make it right. If you think both India and Pakistan have control over their armies and all armed forces, you are an idiot. There is no easy way to say this. Hint – only one is a real democracy.
3. ABVP, Pls shut your shop and focus on studying. Not everyone who is against your ideas is a terrorist and for God’s sake stop asking people to die, get raped or got to Pakistan. Doesn’t it bore you guys for once?
4. If you want to feel clever, go watch the next bhai film and sleep well with bhai dreams. Stop voicing your opinions on war, hindutva, women’s rights and communalism. It’s obvious you folks don’t know… Well… Anything at all.
5. BJP, shut the hell up and focus on the burning issues rather than opposing the voice of a girl whose father is martyr. Its childish, stupid and is working against you. Are you so naive you can’t see that? Surely you have bigger priorities to take care of? Ask your ABVP nincompoops to study for a change. They can change India with patents and science breakthroughs you know.
6. Opposition, it’s obvious you are desperate to burn the BJP. But please stop feeding and throwing your weight behind random opinions. Don’t you have better things to hit the BJP with? Tamil Nadu alone gives you points every other week! Stop making excuses and slap Rahul Gandhi now and then.
7. Sehwag and Randeep are well within their rights to tweet jokes, jibes and even controversial opinions. This is a free country, remember? If they offend you, file a lawsuit or make return jokes. Stop smearing ppl who have no say in administration, foreign policy or even public opinion.
In detail – social media is a dangerous place to learn your history lessons. I’m tired of looking at posts that go ‘hey let’s work for peace! Obviously our governments are sleeping over it.’ No they aren’t. All our PMs from LB Shastri till Modi have tried to make things work with Pakistan. LB Shastri agreed to give back all the territories seized by India during the 1965 war as a show of *sigh* goodwill. Heck Vajpayee even went to Lahore on a bus. Pakistan made a huge mistake by investing in state sponsored terrorism. India doesn’t. Now Pakistan s army and rogue forces within them aren’t acting within their jurisdiction. They are going so far as to blame a lot of their minorities – targeted blasts on RAW and India. This is a fact, deal with it. You don’t have to be left, right or center to know this.
The kashmir issue will have no solution till Pakistan drops the ball on Indian side of Kashmir and focusses on ‘Azad kashmir’. Till the time this happens, Pakistan and India will be at loggerheads. Pakistan will continue to teach their children that India is filled with evil hindus and that they won all the wars against India. India too cannot give up Kashmir. There is no guarantee on Pakistan s behaviour from there. Kashmir itself isn’t a lifeline for Pakistan, it’s just something they bring up to keep the people against India to make up for their cesspool of a government.
So next time someone talks peace, talk straight and talk solutions. Don’t just make sweeping statements. It’s of no use to anyone.
So yeah, peace isn’t easy. Especially when you’re shouting to the ppl on the wrong side of the bloody border!
