‘What was that again?.. oh yeah sorry I forgot..’
My pal wasn particularly happy when I forgot to update an Issue in time. I was kind of laid back and thought ‘Why do it now when we can move things once people want it badly?’
Procrastination – Quite simply the word. A habit I have been trying to shake off, with less success of course. It is such a pleasure to let everything dry up before licking them up again.

It was raining as I looked out of the Window at the City of Pearls and thought of the pollution that is increasing here at quite an alarming rate. Hyderabad is known for its Richer population. People are rarely found on cycles. Even if It is a down and broken 1991 scooter, people aren’t afraid to use it than walk. The sight out of the window and the thought brought in some Nostalgia. J I have made public speeches, presentations, posters and even Role plays on ‘Pollution’ at various parts of my life. I was never short of fuel. It was just that easy to talk how much we damage the biosphere. Every time it was just better and more improved than the previous time.
We humans don’t like being told what we need to do. The concept of 2012 may be kind of scary, but we as good humans don’t seem to be worried a lot. We are like ‘We ll take care if it comes…..,when it comes’ take care of what? The apocalypse? You must be kidding! But that s exactly is what we are doing.
Melting of Polar ice caps, extinction of rare species, large reduction in marine life, sinister storms and hurricanes – Pollution has sent off many alarm bells ringing.. if you are waiting for the Hangman’s bell. So be it. By the time we get the intimation that something has gone horribly wrong with respect to our relation with Nature… It will be too late. There will be nothing to salvage even if we repent for mistakes we never repented. A small effort saves tons of oxygen and cools down the earth.
My interest in Amar Chitra Katha during my younger years comes in Handy sometimes. Interestingly, the Gita tells us about 3 types of people
1.People who live with prayer and penance in their minds
2.People who pray for worldly pleasures
3.People who pray in times of Peril.

And the procrastination is definitely not helping us. If we need to see the next century, our current character is quite inadequate.
Yes. People on earth and their character have not changed. But what has, is my way of perceiving things as I have grown up to know people better.
Of course, now I don’t take the pains to explain what pollution is and what it means to us. J As I said…… I am improving with time.
