The reason as to why you can read this line and so this blog

Ok, A nerdy topic I agree. Even if a kid reads and uses this from my space I’d be happy 😛

Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner put forward an interesting point that the legalization of Abortions(back in the late 70s) reduced crime in the United States during the 90s. The crux of the issue was that ‘A mother would know best as to whether she wants the baby or not’. A baby that is brought into this world without the happiness of it’s mother becomes an unwelcome customer. Not just it’s mother, life itself becomes unwilling to tend to it. A recent Indian movie called ‘Businessman’ strongly asserts a fictionalized point that Gangsters, when provided a regular source of income, thereby reducing any uncertainty in their future, resorted to lesser violent crimes or no crimes at all. Besides, the easier way of looking at this would be, if anyone had a simpler and easier way of living(which crime definitely was not) their productivity and their contribution to the society itself, increased.

An unwanted or neglected child resorting to crime and gangsters giving up crimes – Blurring the line between fact and fiction. The answer is and always has been education. Every single human forms an entity of a society. Their success determines whether the country gets one more Farmer, Doctor, Engineer, business magnate or just another criminal. The productive population make sure that the country’s natural resources are usefully managed and are also not destroyed/misused. This in real time solves the actual detriment any economy may have, to development.

A human without education is most often ignored, less respected and is more likely to end up hating a society rather than trying to blend in and be a part of it. Being illiterate on the other hand, does not mean being stupid. It is more likely that the best minds have been denied the right to education. Being illiterate simply means someone did not have the chance to study – in a classroom, in open space, in the fields, in a refugee camp or anywhere else, with or without a roof from a teacher or from a book. This sad state must change. The major reasons why children are denied the right to education can be put under a few categories

1. Orphaned 2. Poverty 3. Lack of facilities

Every country must have orphanages that take all children under it’s wings. All orphans should have the right to education. All governments must make arrangements to provide education to children. Poverty is one of the major reasons why children are unable to take up education. Governments must have well-monitored and well-financed government schools that must set the standards for other schools to follow. Unlike many other things on which money is spent, school education is surprisingly easy to finance. Better incentives for school teachers will solve this gap. Being a teacher is never an honor in most parts of the world. teaching is never the glamorous profession, neither is is an option for a career in most places across the globe. If the needs of the teachers are catered to, teachers get available in abundance. this effectively makes education easily accessible for all rungs of the economy.

The most important reason for education being a challenge is that the world is not small. All parts of the globe have been set foot by man, but have seldom been accessible to education. There are many villages and tribes that have either refused education or are out of reach for education. This is another challenge that requires just some good minds and very less money. Today, if any government spends a fraction of the money that it spends on roads, flyovers, bridges and tunnels to education, tomorrow we will have something more than all of these combined. We will have an educated society.

Education provides a path to survive on one’s own skills without the depending on the kind of environment you are in. If a child is born a genius, even then education may fasten the child’s journey to success. This is specially true for developing economies which need the best minds to churn out ways to work for the betterment of the nation. Education teaches you to identify yourself, an as individual, as a human, as a speck in the universe and as a small part in the scheme of things. Education earns you your livelihood and makes crime and dishonesty look very expensive. It makes you challenge your world, with all it’s mindless prejudice and superstition.

Education can free the world and make one understand that ‘countries’ are just boundaries that were drawn by man on a piece of paper which is a cheap copy of the real Earth.
